10 One Piece Characters Who Can Defeat Kaido
Characters who can defeat Kaido are rather Few. The four Emperors In One Piece are known to be the strongest characters of the entire series. Kaido is one of the four emperors. And he is well known to be the strongest Zoan type devil fruit, the user. He received the title of the King of Beasts.
Kaido managed to knock out Luffy with a single swing. Which again, reflects how strong he is. With an enormous bounty of over 4.6 billion berries, Kaido is known to be a Pirate with no boundaries. He even tried to take his own life by jumping down from Sky island, which is 10,000 meters away from Earth. Kaido managed to jump and still survive.
Although, it has been revealed in the past that Kaido has been defeated 7 times so far. Other than that he has also been captured 18 times. This means that some characters can defeat Kaido. So today we’ll be counting down some possible characters who can defeat Kaido.
1. Rocks D. Xebec
Rocks D. Xebec used to be the captain of the Rocks Pirates. His crew included Big Mom, Whitebeard as well as Kaido. Which made this one of the strongest pirate crews of One piece. There is no denying the fact that the overall strength of this crew was incredible. They rose to power 40 years before Roger became the pirate king.
The actual strength of Rocks is unknown. However, to command powerful crew members, he’s supposed to be extremely powerful himself. This leads to the conclusion that the Captain was Strong enough to handle his crew, including Kaido.
He’s also been an extremely dangerous pirate and a threat to the World Government. This drew Vice-Admiral Garp to join forces with Roger Pirates to bring Rocks pirates down. This indicates that even Garp couldn’t handle him alone.
2. Shanks
Shanks is one of the Emperors. He has played a major role in Luffy’s life, as he was the one who inspired Luffy to become a pirate someday. Shanks has never really revealed his powers. All we know about his power is that he possesses Conqueror Haki. But that’s all.
He is possibly one of the characters that can defeat Kaido. As it’s seen in the Marineford arc that Shank fought with Kaido when he wanted to reach the war. The fact that Shanks was able to visit Kaido, fight him, and make it back just in time to stop the war, proves that he either defeated Kaido while successfully managed to come back uninjured or convinced him to pull out of the fight. Either of which would mean that Shanks is on Par with Kaido.
3. Big Mom
Charlotte Linlin, captain of the Big Mom Pirates is one of the four emperors and keeps the strength to take on Kaido. Big Mom rules the Totto Land along with her children. Her devil fruit, Soru Story no Mi, allows her to manipulate and snatch souls from other people. Additionally, she has enormous power, and she is unquestionably the strongest female character of one piece. In the Whole Cake Island arc, it was revealed that even the strongest cannon can not scratch her Skin.
So far in the series, we have seen that Big Mom was easily able to keep up with Kaido’s power. As they both were briefly seen clashing in Onigashima before allying. This Indicates that Big Mom can severely hurt Kaido in a serious fight. The two also share a past as they used to be the crew members of Rocks Pirate.
4. Gol D. Roger
Gol D. Roger, The Pirate King, has always been the strongest pirate to have existed in the whole One Piece series. He became the first pirate who traveled to the Last island that bears the Treasure of One piece. He later named it Laugh Tale. There have been only a few characters who could take Roger in a fight. As he was able to take down Xebec, it’s safe to assume that he can most certainly take down Kaido as well.
Injuring Kaido would be an easy task for him. He used to be a proficient user of Conqueror Haki and had incredible strength. He had a quick clash with Oden and the impact was certainly unusual. Oden was able to overwhelm Kaido, so by comparison, Rogers can finish him within minutes.
5. Whitebeard
Whitebeard held the title of “Strongest Man Alive” till the Marineford arc. He ate the devil fruit Gura Gura no Mi, which allowed him to create Tremors and vibrations. His Devil fruit was so powerful that it could’ve ended the whole world if used with its full potential. Sengoku was the one who admitted this fact while he was talking to Garp.
Whitebeard is one of the Four Emperors as well. So he ought to be on an equal footing with Kaido, just like the remaining two Emperors. Whitebeard is known as a character who was on par with Pirate King Roger as well. And A person who could fight against Roger could easily defeat Kaido. Even though there’s never been a clash between the two, neither of them would certainly be able to come out unharmed in a serious battle.
6. Akainu
Besides being the most hated Character of One Piece, Akainu is the current Fleet Admiral. He’s at the top of the hierarchy of the Marines. While he is a stubborn character with pure hatred for pirates, he is an extremely powerful character. He uses the Magma Manga Devil fruit which allows him to Create and Manipulate Lava at will. In an interview, Oda revealed that Akainu’s devil fruit has the highest offensive power.
Along with his Devil Fruit powers, he is a powerful Haki user as well. He’s never been in a fight against Kaido, however, if he did, he’d most certainly be able to severely injure Kaido if not defeat him. His Powerful devil fruit plus his Hate for the Pirates give him extra strength and cunningness. A character that doesn’t play fair is surely the type that could defeat Kaido.
7. Sengoku
Before Akainu, Sengoku used to be the Fleet Admiral of the Marines. Sengoku is a talented man with incredible strength. Other than that he is well known for his sneaky tactics. As it turns out only Cunning people can be the Fleet Admiral. Sengoku has been able to stand up against Rogers as well as Whitebeard. He is a man who earned the respect of Garp. Thus Sengoku defeating Kaido is certainly possible.
Sengoku
Just like Kaido, Sengoku also possesses the power of a Mythical Zoan type devil fruit, Hito Hito no Mi. It allows him to transform into a golden Buddha at will. He has clashed against Blackbeard in the Marineford arc. As an Emperor, it’s safe to assume that Blackbeard and Kaido would be on an equal footing (in fact, Blackbeard is stronger in my opinion.) Thus, he can defeat Kaido with ease.
8. Monkey D. Garp
Garp has been one of the strongest Mariners in the whole series. He received several titles like ‘Garp the Fist’ and ‘Garp the Hero’. He is the Vice-Admiral of Marines. The only reason he didn’t wish to be an Admiral is that he doesn’t want to serve the Celestial Dragons directly. Being a Mariner that earned the respect of Roger, he’s capable of defeating Kaido.
He’s been up against the Rock Pirates as well as Gol D. Roger. Garp isn’t a Devil Fruit user, making Haki His main strength. An age factor might affect his chances to fully defeat Kaido, but the Young Garp, at his prime, could’ve easily taken him down.
9. Blackbeard
Blackbeard is the only One Piece character that went from no bounty to more than 2 Billion Berries of bounty. He became an emperor after Whitebeard’s death in Marineford. He is most likely the main Villain of One Piece. His main strength comes from his devil fruits. He is the only character to use more than one devil fruit. He ate the devil fruit Yami Yami no Mi, which allows him to control darkness. Later on, he steals Whitebeard’s devil fruit, Gura Gura no Mi as well. He’s known to have clashed against Shanks as well. Thus he can be considered to be one of the Characters who can defeat Kaido.
With the Possession of a devil fruit that is known to be capable of ending the whole world, Blackbeard is invincible. Blackbeard can take down Kaido with ease as Gura Gura no Mi can cause some serious damage to Kaido. Additionally, every single attack from Kaido in his Dragon form can be easily absorbed by Yami Yami no mi.
10. Rayleigh
Rayleigh is the first crew member of Roger’s pirate group. He was the Right hand of Roger and received the title of “Dark King.” Later in the story, he became the one who taught Luffy how to use his Haki. While he isn’t a devil fruit user, Rayleigh has mastered all three Haki.
At a young age, he only needed a single finger to stop an attack from Marco. He even fought off Kizaru, who is a powerful Admiral. While it’s probably difficult for him to defeat Kaido entirely but he can most certainly cause major injuries with his Haki alone.
